Alex is an old good friend from Richmond who moved to New York a few years ago. He was always a big cheerleader of me being in the city and doing the photography thing because “it wasn’t going to happen anywhere else.” I met Jen for the first time in Richmond during the CAA tournament. Since I moved to New York 10 months (!!!) ago I’ve barely seen the two of them. That’s the thing about New York, people work hard and get sleepy here.
The ceremony was held in McGolrick Park in Greenpoint after a giant thunderstorm rolled through. I wasn’t sure how it was going to happen in the park but the skies cleared up maybe 20 minutes before the ceremony started. After the short and sweet vows were exchanged we took a few pictures in the park, then headed to Enid’s for some lunch. Vildan and Pauly, more Richmond friends who now live in Boston, were also there. It was nice to catch up.
Before the wedding day I talked to Alex on the phone and he told me if I wanted to bring a nice camera he was okay with it. I said okay, but I’m going to keep it real simple. All these were shot with just the 50mm lens.
